Opening Keynote
Ned Scheetz - Founding Partner & Managing Director, Aphelion Capital
Ned Scheetz is the Founding Partner and a Managing Director of Aphelion Capital, LLC, an investment firm specializing in medical technology with investments in both public and private equity. Prior to forming Aphelion Capital, Mr. Scheetz was a partner and managing director with Piper Jaffray Ventures where he focused on investments in emerging medical technology companies.

Dr. Kwang Lim - Clinical Director, Medicine & Aged Care, Royal Melbourne Hospital
Dr Kwang Lim is a Geriatrician and General Physician. Dr Lim is also an Associate Professor for the Department of Medicine for the University of Melbourne. Dr. Lim has research interests in improving health and quality outcomes for older people in hospital as well as enhancing service delivery for older patients in the community.
Dr. Niti Pall – Medical Director, Bupa
Dr. Niti Pall is a senior clinical leader who led the development of first wave PMS+ services across two large inner city general practices. Delivering extended primary care services for 9 years i.e. diabetes, elderly care, anticoagulation, pain management, community nursing. Achieved emergency admissions 15% lower than the locality by a pioneering proactive elderly care coordinator role creating efficiency.

Raj Sharma (BSc MSc PhD) - Scientific Director, Respiratory Franchise, GSK
Raj Sharma is Scientific Director in the Respiratory Franchise at GSK, based near London in the UK. Raj leads a cross-functional team supporting evidence generation and medical affairs activities relating to GSK’s new inhaler technologies. Raj originally obtained his PhD in Respiratory Pharmacology at Imperial College London, where he conducted research in autonomic receptor dysfunction asthma and cystic fibrosis. He joined GSK in 1990 and has since held a number of positions in clinical development, medical affairs and project leadership culminating in his current role.
Session 3: Blockchain & Big Data
Michael Dillhyon - Co-Founder & CEO, YouBase
Michael is the founder and CEO for YouBase, a Personal Health Information Exchange Layer (PIXL) using blockchain technology. Michael is also a founding member of healthbank, and served as CEO until 2014. In 2013, he was the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence for SystemsX, Switzerland’s largest early stage life sciences fund. Michael also served as a mentor for the ETH Entrepreneur Lab. He is also a General Partner with Rollspeed, a Swiss-based investment fund. Previous to his move to Switzerland, Michael co-founded two US-based firms: Netelligent Corporation and ActiveObjects, where he held the roles of President, Chairman and CEO respectively.
