Digital Health Lunch

HealthXL virtual lunches convene small groups of thought leads and clients to share insights on key digital health issues. We welcome new experts and clients to join or host their own meetings. If you are interested in this topic, we would love to hear from you.

Through focus groups, we bring together 6-10 thought leaders and industry stakeholders in a series of virtual meetings to collaborate around a defined topic. Each meeting gives the group the opportunity to examine, analyze and collaborate with one another around a digital health topic as well as produce a shareable result.

Whether it is in the prevention of chronic illnesses, or in addressing mental health issues, behavior change is a crucial element of how digital therapeutics work. Without getting into a debate on the definition of DTx, we want to spend the time to understand how these are serving as a validation that we need to move past our current volume-based “number of boxes sold” pricing model and into an outcomes-based “did it actually work?” one. And for it to actually work, we need to harness the power of technology to make digital therapeutics very personalized, social, engaging, and relatable. Most DTx are really addressing unmet needs where the pathophysiology of a disease is poorly understood, or the treatment options are limited and/or expensive. This does not take away from the fact that those DTx that will be successful are the ones that can do, and do well really personalized behavioral medicine.
